Job Description
Day in the life:
In this role, you will be expected to…
- Accounting and Financial Analysis:
- Liaise with the external accounting team on the completion of the full set of accounts (AP, AR, fixed
assets, GL, and trial balance) for the India entity, ensuring the company’s books of accounts are always
accurate and up to date. - Be well versed in IFRS and Ind AS accounting standards.
- Perform monthly and quarterly closing procedures related to revenue activities to ensure proper revenue
recognition in accordance with IFRS 15 / Ind AS 115. - Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and Board Reports.
- Forecast cash flow positions and ensure sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and
capital investment requirements. - Maintain banking relationships.
- Manage collections and maintain strong relationships with debtors.
- Taxes and Compliances:
- Ensure tax compliance by reviewing direct and indirect tax returns, tax audits, and tax provisions, and
responding to tax-related queries. - Coordinate with various consultants to ensure all labor, commercial, and statutory compliance requirements
are met on a timely basis. - Execute revisions and updates to procedures, policies, and systems to support business growth, improve
transparency, and maintain compliance. - Audit and Due Diligence:
- Own and complete statutory, tax, and internal audits.
- Lead and complete due diligence processes as required by current or prospective investors.
- Process Management:
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
- Manage outsourced functions.
Must have skills:
On day one, we’ll expect you to…
- Qualified CA (mandatory) with 4 to 8 years of post-qualification experience.
- Startup or industry experience is preferred.
- Experience leading audits and managing a team of 2–3 people. This role will initially be an individual
contributor position. - Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders
on a regular basis. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
